Dear Kyudo friends in Europe and North America,

On behalf of Zenko International's Council, I wish to send you our warm

greetings. Hopefully at this time of the year we can all find a fresh

and inspiring start in our Kyudo practice.

At the Zenko Int'l Council Annual Meeting last January, in Munster,

Germany, the Council decided to establish a New Communication Structure.

The purpose of this New Communication Structure is to facilitate and

encourage easy and regular exchanges within the Community, and to

develop closer and stronger links between all Kyudo practitioners under

Kanjuro Shibata XX and XXI.

The New Communication Structure is to be used to realize Shibata

Sensei's desire to bring his Kyudo groups in North America and Europe

closer toward being "One Kyudo Family."

The following lines describe the structure itself and highlight the very

simple, yet important role we all have to play to make this happen:

1)

By the 15th of each month, all information to be shared with the Kyudo

Community is to

be sent by e-mail directly to me at jean-pierre.poggi@sympatico.ca

The information can come from an Individual, a Dojo, a Practice Group

(PG), Zenko Int'l's Council or Kanjuro Shibata XX or XXI.

2)

By the end of each month I will send out a message entitled:

Zenko Int'l (All Tiger Groups) - Online News 00/00/0000

Said message will contain the information received by the 15th of the

current month and will be sent out to :

- Kanjuro Shibata XX and XXI

- every Kyudo practitioner of Europe and North America

- Zenko Int'l's Council Members.

3)

The simple but important role we all have to play is the following :

Firstly,

each of us should share the present message with the other practitioners

of our own Dojo or PG and inquire who would not have received it in

order to invite said people to e-mail me their name, complete address,

telephone number, e-mail address(es) and name of Dojo or location of

their PG.

Secondly,

we should identify one person (and ideally one back up) in our Dojo or

PG who would have the following two responsibilities:

- print a copy of each - Online News - for those who would not have

access to e-mails

- make sure that the newly arrived practitioner sends me his/her

whereabouts.

That's it !

_______

I must say that the Council Members of Zenko Int'l find this project

very exciting and important for all of us.

Sharing - and we all have a lot to share - and thinking how enriching

and inspiring sharing can be to our own practice and to the Group is

even more exciting.

Suggestion :

Since the beginning of this year, many programs already took place:

3 in Europe with Kanjuro Shibata XXI,

2 in North America with Don Symanski and

1 to happen at the end of April with Kanjuro Shibata XX.

Maybe some people would like to share their experience?

I am looking forward to receiving by May 15 what you wish to share with

and what you think would be of interest to the whole Kyudo Community.

All the best to you all,

Jean-Pierre
