About Oko Kyudokai

Oko Kyudokai is the European organisation of Zenko International founded by Kyudo master Kanjuro Shibata XX.
All dojo founded by Shibata Sensei end in ko (tiger). Oko means European Tiger. Oko Kyudokai means European Association of Tiger Kyudojo.

With dojo and kyudoka in many European countries, Oko Kyudokai co-sponsors kyudo programmes throughout the year - from weekend introductory programmes to 10 day intensives. Including the annual Summer Program at Dechen Chöling in France.

As a part of the Nalanda Gate of Shambhala International many kyudo programmes take place at, or in affiliation with, Shambhala Meditation Centers. Some groups are also completely independent of Shambhala.

Oko Kyudokai is a nonprofit organisation supported by membership dues, programme income and donations.

Please consult the DOJO page for a list of kyudo group locations, names and information on how to contact them.

For more information about the world-wide organisation see the Zenko International website.
